Slow Migration To Debenu.com

June 6, 2012

Over the past few months you may have noticed some Debenu Quick PDF Library links pointing to www.debenu.com. That is because in April we launched a new website for Debenu. You can read about it here and see a screenshot of the homepage below.

For a number of years we’ve run multiple websites, each with different products, but all owned by Debenu. We have now decided to take a different path and combine all of our sites into one Debenu site, as well as consolidate the different branding used for different products.

We’re going to slowly move Quick PDF Library over to the Debenu website as well. As you may have seen, the transition has already started to take place in some areas. Over the next 6 months we’ll continue to move the content over to the new site with the goal of completing the move of Quick PDF Library on the Debenu website by the start of 2013.

Nothing about the Quick PDF Library product itself is changing, just the website that it calls home.  At some stage we’ll redirect the www.quickpdflibrary.com homepage to www.debenu.com, but not until the end of the year, once every has gotten used to the change.

Oh, and if you have any questions about the new site, please let us know by leaving a comment on this page.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year

December 21, 2010

As some of you may have noticed, Christmas is a few days away, so the team at Debenu will be taking a short break from the 24th of December until the 2nd of January to unwind and freshen up for the exciting year ahead. Of course by “break” we mean we’ll be checking our email every other minute as opposed to every minute. But, you get the idea.

A skeleton crew will be on hand to assist should you have any urgent issues that need to be dealt with prior to the end of the holiday period.

From everyone here at Debenu, we’d like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Happy holidays!

Debenu has acquired iSEDQuickPDF (now named Quick PDF Library)

February 6, 2009

We’re very pleased to announce that Debenu has acquired the rights to the iSEDQuickPDF library (QuickPDF) from SEDTech (Pty) Ltd. Under Debenu the PDF library will be renamed Quick PDF Library and its new home will be www.quickpdflibrary.com.

Background

iSEDQuickPDF was first released in Q1, 2001 by SEDTech and over the years has become one of the most popular libraries for creating, manipulating, and rendering PDF files.

Whilst development slowed considerably over the past few years, we’re happy to say that it’s now under new management. We’ve been feverishly working on a new and updated Quick PDF Library release “behind-the-scenes” bringing version 5.11 to 7.12

How to purchase

Customers who purchase the existing version 5.11 after Feb 3, 2009, will be entitled to receive a free upgrade to version 7.12 when it is released in mid-to-late Q1. In addition, customers can use this coupon code UNRIVALEDPDF to save US$30 when purchasing a new license.

What’s new

Whilst full details on the 7.12 release are yet-to-follow, a number of the immediate updates are…

Major changes since 5.11:

  • support for Japanese fonts
  • links to embedded files
  • object caching in DA functions

Minor changes:

  • content stream parsing changes
  • support for color constants in html text
  • metafile world scaling
  • png transparency
  • array parsing improvements
  • tiff parsing improvements
  • implementation of simple truetype rasterizer

Upgrades

A free upgrade will be provided for all customers who purchase the existing 5.11 version after Feb 3, 2009. Users who purchased the library before this date will be able to upgrade to the latest version for $149.40 USD (40% discount). Upgrades to version 5.11 (which will entitle you to a free upgrade to 7.12) can be purchased from this link (proof of purchase will be required before new serials are sent).

We’d love to hear from you — please send any questions using this contact form.
