Feature requests, bug reports and feedback
First up, a big thank you to all of the existing Quick PDF Library (formerly known as iSEDQuickPDF and QuickPDF) users who have taken the time to contact us since we announced the acquisition of the iSEDQuickPDF library earlier this month. Your positive feedback and excitement about our acquisition of the library is very much appreciated.
While we continue to work hard behind-the-scenes to prepare the next version of the Quick PDF Library for release — by the way, we’re making great progress, you will be impressed — we want to continue gathering as much information from our users as possible about their thoughts on the state of the current library and what sort of features and improvements they would like to see introduced in the future.
We already think that Quick PDF Library is an excellent and powerful PDF SDK — not to mention extremely cost-effective — but we want to make it even better. We want it to be the number one PDF SDK for developers.
With this in mind, if you have any thoughts about the library that you would like to share with us; or if you have discovered a bug that you would like to report; or if you have a feature suggestion — we’d like to hear from you.
We look forward to working with you to make Quick PDF Library number one.
P.S. If you purchase version 5.11 of the Quick PDF Library now (only $149), then you will be entitled to a free upgrade when the next version is released — with lots of new features and improvements.

I’ve had decent success with the ActiveX/COM implementation in the past. The library seems well designed, fast and has a complete list of features. The only problem is that there is not a ‘native’ .NET version. Are there any plans to create a managed version for people who use C# or VB.NET?

Hi Steve,
In the next version of Quick PDF Library we are going to include enhanced support for .NET languages like C# and VB.NET in the DLL and ActiveX versions by using import header files.
This should make working with Quick PDF Library a piece of cake for all .NET developers.
Cheers,
Rowan

We have a very old licence for Quick PDF, which allowed us free upgrades for life. Will this still be valid?
Also what is the ETA for the new release?
Thanks

Hi Paul,
We expect to release the next version of the library within the next 1-2 months. A beta version will be available earlier than that for customers who are interested.
Upgrades for the new library will cost $39. Previously upgrades were provided free by the old owners, however, in the interest of being able to fully support and develop the library, it’s necessary to charge for upgrades going forward.
Upgrades can be purchased from this link. The initial upgrade will be to version 5.11, but users who purchase or upgrade to version 5.11 now, will receive a free upgrade to version 7.12 when it is released.
I hope this helps.
