  1. Hello,
for one year, we work with gnostice. This produkt is very very very…instabil ! Fortunately we found Debenu in web… Now, we work with quickpdf very fine!!!

    Our feedback: We miss PDF/A.
    When comes PDF/A (1/b and or 1/a)?

  3. @R. Bartel — thanks for your positive feedback! I’m glad to hear that you’re enjoying working with Quick PDF. We’ll look at adding PDF/A support later in the year / at the beginning of next year. We’ve begun doing research in this area and listing the changes that are required. It’s definitely a feature that we want to add to the library.

  4. @tuwn — we haven’t had time to properly look at Delphi XE yet, so I don’t know if we’ll include support for it in version 7.22 yet, but we’ll definitely support it in 7.23 if we don’t support it in 7.22.

It just depends on if they’ve made any significant changes to the DCU files for the new version. Since Delphi XE looks like a relatively minor release, hopefully the DCU files are much the same as D2010 and updating to support Delphi XE will be easy.

We’ll post a message on the blog when we know.

  5. Thanks for your dedication and good product

I second the request for PDF/A.

A few months ago, we had to pick which PDF library to use. We picked QuickPDF knowing PDF/A was not supported but hoping it would be resolved when the immediate need for such a feature arises on our side. I’m not very experienced w/ PDF/A, but from what I’ve seen, it’s a basic set of constraints and embedding fonts in the PDF file, or am I missing something?

  6. @Benjamin — validating a PDF/A file is certainly not that difficult. As you point out, it’s simply a checklist that has to be checked. The more difficult part is creating PDF/A documents from scratch — although again, not all that difficult — but the very difficult part is converting an existing PDF file to a PDF/A file. We’ll probably support the first two scenario’s first and then support the third scenario at a later date.

  7. Hi,

I’m using quickpdf in combination with Crystal Reports 11 pdf files. The merge (overlay) function does not work for these files. Is this fixed is this version or do you know if it will be corrected?

    Kind regards Olav
