Setup Delphi for use with Quick PDF Library

This tutorial shows you how to get ready to create your first PDF application with Delphi and Quick PDF Library.

Step By Step

1. Download the latest version

The first thing you'll need to do -- that's only if you haven't already! -- is to download the latest version of Quick PDF Library.

Read the Delphi Getting Started Guide

Follow the instructions provided in the Delphi Getting Started Guide to tell Delphi where to look for the DCU files for Quick PDF Library. Information on what to add to the uses clause and how to initiate the Quick PDF Library class is also provided in the getting started guide.

3. Create a new project in the Delphi IDE

Start a new Delphi project. If your Delphi environment gives you the option, choose a VCL Forms application.

4. Ready!

. You're now setup and ready to move on to the fun part — creating your first PDF application with Quick PDF Library and Delphi!.
